The Technologic fad uses an image of Osaka from the anime Azumanga Diaoh opening her mouth back and forth while on a table, accompanied by the full song "Technologic" by Daft Punk. The original was made in May, but the fad didn't kick into full gear until 5 months later when it resurfaced on the top 15. The creator Sixfortyfive has said that the song and image was taken from a flash animation of the same style: osaka-technologic.swf
Most sites will have other people opening their mouths back and forth to the music. Others will show the activities described in the song. While the fad itself did not propel many more Technologic YTMND's, it did increase the Azumanga Daioh and Osaka YTMND's. Other sites will use the image of Osaka lip-syncing to other songs.
